A Collaboration: Lay it on the Line
‘Lay it on the Line’ is the banner under which I, Yasmin Chopin, and a group of six other writers, produce new work generated from curiosity and a deep-rooted love of the natural world.
It began when I first chatted with Bee Lilyjones. We’d been following each other for a while; we both wanted to develop our writing, expand our creative horizons, make new contacts, and within a few weeks a Substack group was formed.
We gathered online and started working together in 2025. Our cohort comprises: Yasmin Chopin (Scotland), Bee Lilyjones (England), Julia Adzuki (Sweden), Donna Fisher (Australia), Amanda C Sandos (USA), Julie Snider (USA), Stacy Boone (USA).
I consider myself fortunate to have found friendship amongst these spirited creative women who are passionate about art, ecology, philosophy, and place.
Our ‘Lay it on the Line’ collaboration continues through 2026 and, for ease of reading, I’ve assembled our work here for you.
