This is indeed the right page, it's a list of my posts, each of which is a recommended book. Perhaps 'list' wasn't quite the right word to use; I can understand that you might have expected something different. Sorry to confuse you Liz.
What a lovely, clear introduction and statement of intent. I’ve got a feeling I subscribed ages ago with a university email that is now defunct, so here I am again on my personal one.
Hi Teyani. I think we have to be following each other for the DMs to work. There is more about what Place Writing is in this post... https://yasminchopin.substack.com/p/what-is-place-writing. It's a relatively new genre and there is still much to explore in this field of writing. If you'd like to chat about possible collaboration please get in touch by email: ycid at yasminchopin dot com.
I’ll take a look at the post you linked. Thanks so much!
I mentioned I couldn’t DM you because I wanted you to know that a message pops up that says “only paid subscribers” can message you when I tried to, and I didn’t know if you were aware that your settings are this way. All the best!
Congratulations Yasmin, I appreciate your work and your words. Always deeply informative and inspiring! Look forward to seeing the next chapter unfolds xx
I found it difficult to answer your first question, "Why do you read Place Writing?", as there wasn't a single option to describe my motivation. I could have ticked any of the three choices , but my strongest reason is because I love exploring places and participating through reading in others' explorations.
P.S. Congratulations on connecting with 500 subscribers.
Thank you for giving me a little more information, Felicity. I appreciate this. I wasn't quite sure how the poll would work as it's the first time I've done one. But your reason, about sharing place with others who like to explore, is valid and useful to know.
Hi Yasmin, I clicked on the link for recommended books but it just takes me to a list of your posts - is it hiding in there somewhere? Thanks.

Ah, that's nice of you to say, Joanna. And I'm delighted to welcome you back!
Beautiful. I’d be interested in learning more about what Place Writing is. I’m not sure I understand from reading this st.
I tried to DM you (as Sarah suggested we do in the Classified post, but since I’m not a paid subscriber yet, I cannot.
I love how we can learn from each other.

Thanks, Teyani. I’ll check that.

Thanks for the mention Yas! :-)
You are welcome!
What a kind shout-out! ❤️
Your Substack has impressed me, Jillian.
Thank you for your re-stack, Felicity! Much appreciated.
